A church’s spirit is rooted in both its mission and its parish life. And while a church’s mission might be stated plainly, the life of a church can only be experienced. We invite you to spend time with us outside of our regular worship so that you might see that Christ is indeed in this place. 

Below are some of the ways you might enjoy fellowship at St. Peter’s.

Coffee Hour

Each week after the 10:30am service we gather in our large hall for coffee, donuts, and fellowship.  Parishioners take turns each week to provide snacks and prepare the coffee. 

Valle Crucis Parish Retreat

Our annual parish retreat takes place in October.  We spend a weekend in the Carolina mountains sharing stories, breaking bread, enjoying song and worship together as a large faith family.

Agape Groups

The Agape Groups generally consist of ten to twelve people, singles and couples alike.  Each group meets for several weeks for a meal and fellowship. 

Boomer Group

Fun and Fellowship for parishioners who fall within the baby-boomer (plus or minus) age group.  Concerts, events, dinners, sporting events… our activities are as eclectic as our members.

Daughters of the King (DOK)

A Religious Order for women in the Episcopal Church, of churches in communion with it, or in churches who are in the Historic Episcopate who undertake to live by a Rule of Life, incorporating the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service.  Training is required.

Episcopal Church Women (ECW)

Episcopal Church Women exists to support all women in their Mission and Ministry in the world.  This group is open to all women of the parish.  The vision of the ECW is to bring the women of St. Peter’s together in a vibrant blend of all ages, whether we are serving our church, organizing fundraisers or participating in fun social events together.

Softball

The Saints is our co-ed parish softball team that competes in a town wide church league.  What we lack in skill, we make up for in enthusiasm, grit, and spirit! These games have become a great way for men & women, young & old in our parish to meet and fellowship with not only other church members, but others in the community.
