Adult Formation

Formation and teaching for adult ministry is taken very seriously here at St. Peter by-the-Lake. There are a number of opportunities for Christian Formation during the year, below are some examples:

From Discernment to Ministry
Sundays, September 11th-October 30th
Furr Hall; 9:40 -10:20 a.m.
What do you think of when you hear the words “spiritual gifts”?  Each one of us is gifted; each of us has been given the ability, the talent, to do certain things, and all of us are different-we can do different things. Sometimes we know ourselves well enough to know what our gifts are; sometimes it takes other people to point them out for us. The difference in human talents and spiritual gifts is conversion. What are we good at is what we are good at; it is the intent that shifts. Are we listening to how God desires us to use our gifts or are we listening to the world? Join us for this 7-part study on discernment of your spiritual gifts for ministry. Facilitator:  Deacon Brenda Gilbert
